Meet Our State Advocates

State Advocates for Adult Education Fellowship (SAAEF)

The State Advocates for Adult Education Fellowship (SAAEF) is a year-long leadership and advocacy program developed by COABE in partnership with NAFTAE to strengthen advocacy for adult education at the local, state, and national levels. Through specialized training, mentorship, and collaboration, fellows develop the skills to engage policymakers, work with the media, build community partnerships, and elevate the voices of adult learners and educators.

Each State Advocate serves as a champion for adult education, helping raise awareness of the impact of WIOA Title II programs, promoting the value of lifelong learning, and advancing policies that expand opportunities for adult learners. We are proud to recognize the dedicated leaders who have represented our state through the SAAEF program and their commitment to advancing adult education for all.
