The purpose of the conference is to bring together those of us who work with adults, addressing the challenges and opportunities of educating them. Individuals representing diverse educational sectors and programs in school districts, community colleges, intermediate school districts, public and private colleges and universities, correctional facilities, literacy organizations, and business and industry attend MAACE conferences. It is through conference participation that ideas are shared, best practices learned and ideas regarding areas of importance are investigated. Adult education professionals are in a position to help ensure future citizens obtain the skills necessary to contribute to society in a variety of positive ways.
